Military Appreciation Month – Veteran Benefits

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor and recognize the contributions, sacrifices, and service of the armed forces members, past and present. It’s a time to thank the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country.

If you are a veteran, dependent, or survivor or have family members who have served in the military, the booklet Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents, Survivors, and Caregivers is a great resource. It briefly overviews the most sought-after information concerning Veterans’ benefits and services. This resource is key to improving life quality and ensures a printed source in the home to find essential health services in time of need.

Important info included in the booklet:

  • How to Apply for VA Health Care
  • VA Health Care Programs and Services
  • Disabled Veterans
  • Home Loans
  • Education and Training

There are many ways to show appreciation for our military service members during Military Appreciation Month and throughout the year. Here are a few ideas:

  • Say “Thank you for your service!”
  • Fly the American flag proudly.
  • Learn about different branches of the military and their roles.
  • Donate to charities that support veterans or active-duty service members.
